Delta-T Devices provides a wide range of research-grade sensors for meteorological, hydrological, and environmental measurement and monitoring.
The “gold standard” ML3 ThetaProbe soil moisture sensor is highly respected by scientists and researchers worldwide for its reliability and 1% soil moisture accuracy. In addition to soil water content measurement it features built-in temperature measurement (when buried).
We also offer the SM150T soil moisture and temperature sensor with 3% soil moisture accuracy – well suited to a wide range of soil science and horticulture applications.
For vertical profiling of soil moisture our PR2 Profile Probe (analogue & SDI-12 versions available) is ideal. The PR2/4 soil moisture probe measures soil moisture at 4 depths down to 40cm and the PR2/6 soil moisture probe measures at 6 depths down to 100cm.
Our WET Sensor and WET150 Sensor (Digital SDI-12) are powerful tools for irrigation/fertigation monitoring in horticulture, and soil salinity research. They measure three vital properties of soils and substrates: water content, electrical conductivity (EC) and temperature. A key feature of both sensors is their ability to accurately calculate pore water conductivity (ECp), which is the ion content of the water available to the plant.
For soil water potential (soil water tension) measurements we offer the EQ3 Equitensiometer – featuring maintenance-free operation and a wide measurement range.
Our sensors are compatible with most types of data logger, including our GP2, GP1 and DL6 – or can be connected to a hand-held readout unit (such as the HH2 Soil Moisture Meter).
